Posture

Bad posture is one of the most common contributors to back problems. If you have poor posture, the muscles in your back begin to shorten and get accustomed to that position. In most cases, the bad posture then becomes the most comfortable position. When this happens, sitting in the proper position will become strenuous and potentially painful when first attempted.

There are many back support products on the market, and many good office chairs. Office chairs will not suit everyone in the office perfectly and must be individualized. The key is to find one that supports your lower back, right at the curve of your bottom.

Whenever working on your posture, remember that you will go through some pain as you make positive influential changes to musculature.
